PENTAGON members Hui and Hongseok have dropped a beautiful cover version of ‘Already Winter‘.
The original version of ‘Already Winter‘ was released in 2016 by Huh Gak and VROMANCE. The lyrics tell of a man’s heartbreak and sadness at the breakdown of the relationship with his love.
Hui and Hongseok do a great job in maintaining the emotion of the song through their version. Starting out with the simple and clean backing of a piano, the song builds as the vocal and instrumentation builds. However, their vocals are never overtaken and are the highlight of the track.
You can hear the emotion and heartbreak come to life throughout the song.
The clip is simple and muted in colour which is in keeping with the theme of the song.
