Study and employment stress lead to over the top library etiquette

Article: "No multi colored pens" Bizarre library rules amidst employment stress

Source: Money Today via Nate

Article highlights some of the bizarre rules people in libraries who are studying for employment are coming up with, most likely due to the extreme stress they are constantly under. Some of these are post-its people left to others studying in the same room:

"We are banning the use of multi-colored pens (pens that have 3-4 color options) within the library. The sound of the metal spring when changing the colors is distracting to others."

"Please unzip your bags before coming in the room. Take off your coats beforehand too! No sniffling, and please restrict from clearing your throat!"

"The sound of your scribbling is loud. I'm studying for the state exam so I ask for your understanding."

"Hello ^^ Please leave one desk of room between us when choosing a seat~ it's suffocating to be so close. Please keep the desk next to me empty starting tomorrow... ^^"

"Sorry to say this off the bat but I don't think you should be wearing pajama pants. It's off putting to see. I understand it's comfortable but this is the library, not your home ^^"

"Sorry to say this but you seem to be a student studying for the civil servant exam so don't you think it's a bit excessive for you to be coming in with a new cup of coffee every day? As a fellow student, it makes me feel deprived... so please restrict yourself..."

"I don't know which seat you are but can you please turn your book pages quietly? You're not the only one using this library"

1. [+1,432, -31] Of all the people I've seen who act this sensitive usually never pass their tests

2. [+1,223, -26] It's always the kids who suck at studying who blame everything else but themselves. Just stay home.

3. [+1,206, -34] How can they stand the sound of their own hearts beating? Will they cut their own hearts out at that point?

4. [+93, -1] Wow ã…‹ã…‹ that rage over the coffee is too far ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ imagine being that extra that you get mad over someone else buying themselves coffee ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

5. [+85, -1] If you're this sensitive to the environment around you, might as well quit studying now and stop wasting your parent's money

6. [+82, -1] They're the type of people who would leave post-it notes to noisy crickets outside their window...

7. [+70, -1] I understand how some of these can be annoying but caring whether someone's wearing pajama pants is none of their business. And feeling deprived because someone gets to buy coffee and you don't? Just stay home at that point, why bother leaving the house?

8. [+58, -1] I've never seen anyone this sensitive actually get good grades

9. [+42, -2] I do often see people wildly clicking their pens... it's actually really distracting

10. [+40, -0] Wow, the coffee and pajama pants are daebak ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ so ridiculous... ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

11. [+38, -3] Honestly when I'm studying and I'm in the zone, I rarely notice any sounds around me... Seems more like these people are blaming their lack of focus on being overly sensitive...

12. [+30, -2] I understand being sensitive like this if you're paying for a private study room but fools who leave post-its in a public library full of 100 seats are ridiculous ã…‹ã…‹ shut up if you're using the facility for free or go pay for your own private study room if it bothers you so much ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
