Article talks about the stress and exhaustion with fandoms that force each other to stream digital songs on repeat overnight whenever there's a comeback which really only stands to benefit the pockets of digital sites in the end.

There would be no need for this if digital charts didn't matter. The actual act of fandoms streaming overnight isn't the issue, it's the system that forces them to do it that's the issue;; fans would much rather buy another album or fan merchandise with the money they're spending every month on these digital sites

Because all these digital charts have their own award ceremonies and the media is constantly looking for their next bait to chomp down on. Why should fans have to stop? Why aren't fans treated like a part of the public? It's unfair that the entire blame is put on fans without taking a look at the problems within the system first.

Digital sites use this to promote competition between fandoms. Melon totally feeds this by having things like 'stream proof' for fans to prove how much they've streamed and compete against each other and charts that show the predicted changes in the next 5 minutes, making fans go crazy and stream even more. Hypocritical, isn't it?
