Produce 101's Kwon Hyun Bin to make acting debut!
Kwon Hyun Bin is the latest Produce 101 Season 2 contestant to announce his debut!
Model agency YG KPLUS used a media statement to announce that Kwon Hyun Bin has been cast in upcoming MBC drama ‘Borg Mom‘! ‘Borg Mom‘ centres around Choi Go Bong, played by Yang Dong Geun, who creates an artificially intelligent robot, played by Park Han Byul. The AI ‘Borg Mom‘ acts as a stand in for Choi Go Bong’s deceased wife as his son enters a prestigious kindergarten.
Kwon Hyun Bin has been cast in the role of the kindergarten teacher, who also happens to be the son of the school director! His character grew up overseas, and is a free spirit “overflowing with hip hop swag”. Kwon Hyun Bin has said that he is both “nervous and glad” about being cast in the drama. He said that “because my character’s personality is similar to my own, I will try to immerse myself fully in the role”.
Since appearing on season two of ‘Produce 101‘, Kwon Hyun Bin has certainly been busy! From starring in a number of CFs, to being cast in variety program ‘Travel Report‘, Hyun Bin has been making the most of his newfound fame. Are you looking forward to seeing him make his acting debut?
