GFriend have kicked off August’s string of comebacks with a bang!
GFriend have made their comeback with ‘Love Whisper‘!
Filmed in a beautiful setting, the song allows all six members’ voices to shine as they embark on a summer adventure. In many ways ‘Love Whisper‘ is a trademark GFriend song. It combines a late-80s inspired instrumental backing with complex choreography and strong vocals, creating an upbeat dance track which is sure to be popular amongst Buddies!

‘Love Whisper‘ is a song unapologetically intended for summer. The bright keyboard in the instrumental accompaniment is light and unobtrusive, which allows the vocal line to be the main focus of the song.
In addition to this, an uplifting transition into the chorus is achieved through the use of an interesting chord progression. GFriend‘s tracks are renowned for featuring electric guitar in the dance breaks, and ‘Love Whisper‘ is no exception. Despite having the same retro-inspired style as ‘Fingertip‘, the electric guitar solos in each song could not create more different atmospheres.
GFriend have also established themselves as a group full of well-rounded vocalists. ‘Love Whisper‘ is proof of this, contrasting vocal power with a refreshingly delicate part for the backing voices. Combined with pure ambience of the music video, ‘Love Whisper‘ conveys the emotions of an innocent love.
